6th Edition Of 40k

Well if you havn'y been living under a rock you know that the new edition of warhammer 40,000 came out today. I'm still waiting on my preordered gamers edition and have tried to avoid spoilers on the new rules at all costs, although reading the white dwarf gave a lot away.... Anyhow I'm hoping that this edition will perform well even though some of the new rules such as the structures or fortifications (can't remember the name) are clearly a clever ploy to sell terrain pieces and miniatures from different army. Anyhow heres to a nother grand edition of 40k. FOR THE EMPEROR!

A Little Update

So folks, I'm just after spending half an hour recording a video with revan2612. It's rendering in the background at the moment and I think it turned out very well. We're planning on making it a weekly event and are going to get some guests from the wargaming community. I'm also working on embeding some of my content onto sites like miniwargaming in order to rise awareness. I don't have much to talk about now because I am exhausted after doing that but hopefully you will enjoy the content. I'm even too lazy to plug my channel so just look at my old posts :)

I've been planning on some things for the future of my channel and would appreciate some feedback on them. Although the old videos were easy to make and got me a few subs I know by the views that I need to start cleaning some stuff up in order to increase those numbers. Firstly, I've completely renovated my painting area, removing all the clutter and adding different camera standing clearances (is that even a term?) for vlog standard detail and tutorial standard detail. I've also added a lot of white to the area which I personally enjoy the look of and can only really be understood by seeing it.
I've moved all of my paints to an easy to reach area just by my side while painting and have made sure that everything I need to have visible on camera will be visible during filming.

Just want to get some feedback on those changes and of course....

The Joy Of Painting

I've been thinking recently about why we actually enjoy certain aspects of this hobby. I've come to the personal conclusion that, as long as your not a self-obsessed, sore loser you more than likely enjoy the gaming part of wargaming for the social interaction with people who share a common interest, or because you like to imagine yourself as a great general leading an army against an oncoming tide of darkness, or a belligerent ork warboss "yellin orderz to yer boyz" However, there is another aspect of the hobby that I couldn't come to a conclusion as to why some people enjoy it so much and why some people can't stand it. I am of course refering to painting.
Personally I enjoy painting despite the fact that I am most certainly not the greatest painter in the world. I mainly paint to a tabletop standard and due to my incredibelly shaky hands I have had to work my painting style to match that. However, I still find sitting down with a paint brush and some paints with a lovely little miniature sitting in front of me to be a very relaxing experience. I find that as the model progresses that sense of pride I feel when looking at each stage completed is amazing. It is what encourages me to keep painting and working with the hobby. There are some people who get very disheartened about the standard of their painting, claiming that they are no good and can't paint for [ insert suitabely profane or amusing term here ] To this I can only reply the age old saying that practice makes perfect. Looking back at my very old work I am not only embaressed that I actually played a game with this stuff but also proud of how far I've actually come. However there will always be some people who either do not want to paint or find it very difficult of not impossible (various medical conditions, bad eyesight etc.) (Although interestingly enough the guy who does most of the painting for the gw store I go to is colourblind)  Due to this some people may not want to play them ( I know it sounds strange but I've seen it happen ) and that just discourages these people from playing the game. What some people fail to remember is that at the end of the day this is a hobby and thusly we each enjoy the hobby in our own way. Where some people enjoy the painting aspect, others enjoy the tournament scene and may even commision people to paint for them. So while I could answer to myself why some people enjoyed gaming I could not answer why some people enjoyed painting because painting is a very personal thing and thusly the question can only be answered by yourself.

I hope you enjoyed that little wall of text and be sure to comment either below or on my channel as to what you enjoy the most about the hobby and why.

My Thoughts On Beginning With Wargaming Videos

For those of you who don't know I've only just recently entered the community of wargaming videos.
I have to admit I am pleased at firstly the atmosphere around the community and how well my first few videos have been recieved. After my first few videos I already have a total of 11 subscribers at the time of me writing this. Coming from Ireland the wargaming community is nearly non-existent and particuarly in my area it is considered to be a "geeky" thing and I have failed to encouner any other players in the region. Due to the strong religious presence in my particular area it has been openly called evil to my face, by my age group and above. However this is not a rant on the state of wargaming in my area, I simply want to thank all those who have subscribed and watched my videos along with those who are reading this blog. For the future I have a few undiclosed projects planned :) and hope that I can really bring something to the community. I know this little entry has little to do with wargaming but future entries will be more on topic so until then chack out my channel at
